Video game developer and publisher Activision has announced a brand-new installment in the Call of Duty franchise, Modern Warfare, which is scheduled to release on October 25 and will hit the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Modern Warfare, according to an Activision news release, will do away with the franchise’s season pass and will instead release “free maps and content” post-release. Developed by Infinity Ward, Modern Warfare will also also support cross-platform gameplay, allowing users across supporting platforms to engage in online multiplayer. Single-player and “new cooperative gameplay” are also said to be included in Modern Warfare as well.
You can pre-order the digital version of Modern Warfare as of now, and doing so will grant you access to a Black Ops 4 prestige coin.
