Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Gets Release Window

“Wars will rage. Kingdoms will fall. This is the age of the Vikings.”

Update (9:01 a.m.): Product details have surfaced regarding Valhalla, which the article below now reflects:

The latest within the Assassin’s Creed series, Valhalla, is set to arrive Holiday 2020, publisher Ubisoft announced today.

Although little was known regarding Valhalla, a product listing via GameStop shares the time period and name of the protagonist.

“Become Eivor, a legendary Viking raider on a quest for glory. Explore England’s Dark Ages as you raid your enemies, grow your settlement, and build your political power.”

“Wars will rage. Kingdoms will fall. This is the age of the Vikings,” said Ubisoft on Twitter earlier today.

Ubisoft posted a cinematic trailer for Valhalla, which can be found below, one day after an initial teaser went live.

The State of Games writer and long time fan of the series David Quigley liked what he saw but ultimately remains reserved.

“So the cinematic trailer looked good. I’m just assuming it will be another Origins, Odyssey in terms of gameplay so I’m not holding out any hope for it.”

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is said to launch on Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Google Stadia. Ubisoft has also confirmed it will hit Xbox Series X and PS5 as well.
