Destiny 2: Forsaken revealed as Year 2 content

Bungie has officially revealed Destiny 2: Forsaken, which is part of the game’s second year of content that aims to release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on September 4.

Destiny 2: Forsaken will include two new locations: The Tangled Shore and The Dreaming City, as well as a brand new raid. Also included in the newest expansion for Destiny 2 is Gambit, which is a new 4v4 PvE mode. Nine additional Supers and newly revealed powers are said to be implemented in the new expansion, along with a new Legendary Bow.

Forsaken is expected to launch in three waves, beginning with the Winter 2018 release and rounding out in Spring and Summer 2019.

Several versions of Forsaken are scheduled for release, starting with the standard edition which will retail for $39.99, along with a bundle of the game and the Annual Pass that will sell for $69.99. A digital deluxe edition has also been revealed, which will retail for $79.99 and will encompass the Annual Pass, a copy of Destiny 2, and the Awoken Legend set, which includes: Wrath Majestic Legendary Bow Ornament, Dirge Paladin Emblem, a Vestian Ghost Shell, and Fireteam Medallions.

Bungie aims to reveal Forsaken story details next week during E3 2018, and will showcase the game at the Activision booth.
