The meteor has landed, crashing into Dusty Depot, changing many locations on the map, and kicking off Season 4 of Fortnite Battle Royale.
What was previously three identical warehouses called Dusty Depot is now Dusty Divot, an impact crater surrounded by a government response camp. Shards of the meteor rock lower gravity temporarily. Along with a handful of little map changes you’ll discover as you play, a new area called Risky Reels, a drive-in theater, has been added to the northern part of the map.
As always, the new season includes new Battle Pass challenges and rewards, including the superhero-themed costume below.
In other notable changes: Headshots will be prioritized over all other damage, meaning if an arm is in front of your face it cannot block a headshot. You can get credited for kills by knocking players off of the island. Structures can be destroyed when waiting for the Battle Bus to take off. You can choose a random option for cosmetics, giving you a different look each round. The crossbow has been removed from the game, and you can read the rest of the changes over on the Epic Games blog.
