New program more rewards.

New rewards program coming soon

The discontinued rewards program from Nintendo has finally received a successor, the company announced on Monday.

In a meeting with investors, Nintendo announced “My Nintendo,” which is a program that rewards individuals for purchasing and playing Nintendo titles. Those who participate within the program may also receive discounts on select titles, physical merchandise, and digital content (themes) via Wii U and/or Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo has also chosen to implement a more simplified approach to logging into accounts by allowing individuals to sign-in via Nintendo ID, Twitter, Facebook, or other forms of social media.

At this time, an official launch day for the new rewards program has yet to be announced.

On June 30, Nintendo officially shut down Club Nintendo in North America, and deleted all existing accounts on July 1.
