Resident Evil special edition PlayStation 4 spotted

Capcom set to release two PlayStation 4 consoles, dedicated to the Resident Evil series.

According to Famitsu, Capcom is scheduled to release two specialized PlayStation 4 consoles that seem to be dedicated to the Resident Evil (Biohazard in Japan) series.

Feel free to take a look at the images below:

It’s worth noting that the jet-black console will be sold in two forms, one with a 500GB hard-drive, and the other with 1TB. Famtisu has also mentioned that the Glacier-white console will only bare a 500GB hard-drive. Along with the purchase of either system, individuals will gain an exclusive Resident Evil PlayStation 4 theme as well. The consoles have been priced from 38-43,000 yen, which roughly translates to $350-400 U.S dollars.

Capcom aims to launch these consoles on the release day of Umbrella Corps, Capcom’s latest Resident Evil spin-off which happens to be a third-person shooter. Umbrella Corps will hit Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on June 23.

At this time it is currently unknown if these consoles will hit the U.S, however, VG Newswire has reached out to Capcom for comment and will update this post should we hear back.
