Capcom Vancouver set to utilize Unreal Engine 4 in future projects

Capcom Vancouver acquires Unreal Engine 4.

Video game developer and publisher, Capcom, have announced that it will be teaming up with Epic Games to utilize Unreal Engine 4 for future projects.

Capcom Game Studio Vancouver, the studio which created Dead Rising, will be the group of individuals to utilize the Unreal Engine.

“We have some ambitious visions for where we want to take our next games and while our previous proprietary engine served the needs for the projects at the time, shifting to Unreal Engine 4 delivers the right tools for our future direction,” said Joe Nickolls, Studio Director of Capcom Game Studio Vancouver.

Additionally, Capcom Game Studio Vancouver is currently hiring for different development positions and wants to expand the studio with people who are familiar with Unreal Engine.

Capcom is also set to collaborate with Square Enix on set of Square Enix themed custom armor for Monster Hunter X.
